Take A Trip Down Memory Lane
It's a blast from the past. You can chug down the tracks for a trip back in time behind period steam and diesel locomotives that once delivered prosperity to many of Alberta's communities. In the heart of Alberta's wheatland, the iron pathways take you on a journey from Stettler to Big Valley in restored rail cars reminding you of a life in simpler times. Kick back and relax on a journey spiced with live musical entertainment, murder-mysteries, theatre and a train robbery by the "Bolton Gang."
A hearty roast beef dinner awaits you at your destination and is included with the cost of your train ticket. For the ulimate experience you can book yourself for a culinary treat on the restored dining car with a five-course meal. Suck up some prairie air in the open coach (weather permitting) or tip back a cool brew in the Lone Star Saloon. History buffs can polish up their rail history in Big Valley, which boasts attractions such as a restored railway station, roundhouse interpretive centre, St. Edmund Church and Jimmy Jock Boardwalk.
