You’re planning to prepare special Middle-Eastern-themed dinner, and you want it to be as authentic as possible, but where do you go in Edmonton for imported goods of quality, as well as fresh ingredients? Alice Produce Garden is the answer.
The answer is here
This mini-market opened its doors in 2004, and at the time, sold only produce. It has since expanded to include ethnic, Middle-Eastern grocery items that are not easily found in Edmonton. Located in the south end, many people in the city have to make a trek to Alice’s, but the journey is worth it for the price of the products alone. The selection of goods is nothing to sneeze at, either, with much of Alice’s produce grown right here in Alberta. Also locally made is a delectable selection of goat cheeses and pita breads.
Bring a list
Many of Alice’s products are imported, of course, and this is where you can really have some fun. You are guaranteed to find at least one thing you have never heard of, but also available are those hard-to-find items you needed in the first place.
Make the most of your kitchen
Taking in the excellent prices and sensory overload of delicious colours, smells, and selection, it’s easy to understand the bewilderment and distraction. If, by some chance, you couldn’t find what you were looking for, Alice’s does special orders and is willing to help you try and make the most of your kitchen. At Alice’s, variety is truly the spice of life.
