It's good and reputable thing for audiences to enjoy a performance hall. But what speaks volumes is when the entertainers come together in agreement and give top marks to a theatre as well. The Arden Theatre in St. Albert has won the heart of every group that has had the opportunity to experience it. It's no surprise; since opening in 1984, the 529-seat venue has hosted hundreds of local, national and international artists. Over the years, some of the world’s most renowned actors, musicians and dancers have graced the stage of this crowd-favourite. From community and local shows to worldwide blockbuster concerts, the Arden Theatre shows them all with style.
Less than a half-hour from downtown Edmonton, the Arden Theatre has a large proscenium stage that can handle large orchestras, solo performers, dance recitals and full theatrical performances. The Arden is also home base for the Northern Alberta International Children's Festival, an annual five-day spring gala attracting more than 40,000 children and families from around the province.
Largely because of the hard work and dedication of its volunteers, The Arden Theatre proudly stands and continues to be a landmark in Edmonton and the surrounding area. The community supports the theatre not only with their time, but also with their many diverse talents and skills. From the ushers that meet and greet you, to the technicians that make the show a visual masterpiece, these volunteers are an integral part of the Arden theatrical experience.
