Need a change from the standard burgers and pizza? B-Bim-Baab is an authentic alternative, offering fresh Korean favourites at moderate prices. If you are trying Korean food for the first time, the Ginseng Chicken Hot Pot soup comes highly recommended. Alternatively, stop by for their popular lunch buffet and try a little bit of everything. The namesake, B-Bim-Baab, is a bowl of rice smothered in a variety of fresh vegetables and hot cooked egg. The Staff also recommends Bul Go Kee, marinated beef stir-fried with mushrooms, steamed vegetables, and rice.
Delicious Atmosphere
No wonder the employees are so serene: the walls and booths, cloaked in cedar, positively glow under the warm lighting. Red, the colour of appetite, adorns the tabletops and carpets. Soft music tops off the comforting atmosphere, weaving through the minimalist décor of graceful vases and willows. The simple elegance of B-Bim-Baab sets the scene for a casual business lunch, or a romantic dinner date.
New Image for an Edmonton Veteran
B-Bim-Baab served Edmonton for nearly 30 years as the Korean Garden Restaurant – the name changed under the new management team in 2006. With their fresh new name and optimistic attitudes, the team is welcoming Edmonton to experience the made-over B-Bim-Baab. The separate lounge area converts to a spacious banquet room, complete with a bar, television, projection screen, and even a dance floor. Although there is no children’s menu, minors are welcome in the lounge until 9 p.m. B-Bim-Baab is also proud to offer catering and reservations.
Details
Take Note: B-Bim-Baab is their signature dish, and comes with strips of marinated beef, rice and bean sprouts topped with a fried egg.
