The atmosphere is quiet and upscale, with tasteful décor, comfortably padded chairs and tables placed at discrete distances apart. Large windows overlook the river valley from the top of a high cliff, for spectacular views year round. Make sure to reserve in advance, especially during the Canadian Finals Rodeo in November when the hotel fills up completely. This is a prime downtown location for a casual business meeting, a get together with family and friends after shopping, or a concert at the nearby Alberta College of Music.
AAA Beef and More
There is a tempting full menu available for lunch and dinner at Bellamy’s with something to appeal to every palate. Calamari with tzatziki and the creamy artichoke and spinach dip with garlic pita are surefire hits for sharing. For mains, you can’t go wrong with the Striploin Beef Steak, the Steak Sandwich or Classic Burger with bacon, cheddar and lettuce, all featuring Triple A Alberta beef. Try something out of the ordinary, like the curried salmon in roti bread with mango chutney and steamed rice, or Shanghai Noodles with sizzling chicken or shrimp, both popular choices. There is a full bar and wine list available, including Sapporo Japanese beer on tap to round out your meal.
Desserts You Can Really Dig Into
Dive into a generous serving of old fashioned style bread pudding with whiskey sauce, a perennial favorite, or warm peach apricot cobbler with sour cherry ice cream. Some people come back just for the desserts here! Swish it down with a creamy and hot cappuccino or dark espresso to finish of your dining experience. Whether you’re in the mood for a snack or full meal, the soothing ambiance and good food are sure to leave you well satisfied and relaxed.
