The Beverly Towne Farmers’ Market is a small community venture that goes beyond to provide its customers with products that are fresh and top-quality, as determined by their own personal (and very high) standards. Located in northeast Edmonton, this farmers’ market is a true community event that can be described as having a carnival-like atmosphere. Completely volunteer-driven and operated, Beverly Towne provides a whimsical backdrop for market-goers, with greeters, an information station, invitations to “rest and stay a while”, customer appreciation draws, and special events to show customer appreciation.
Now You Know Where That Food Has Been
When it comes time to actually purchase something from Beverly Towne, you have your pick of fresh and unique products that are made, baked, or grown locally in and around Edmonton. Be sure to mosey on by in May and June for bedding plants, perennials, and roses, stroll in when the July heat hits for vegetables, fruit, and berries, and saddle up your horse and wagon (OK, minivan and car seats) all season long for delicious jams, jellies, preserves, and fresh meats. Also proving that they honour one of the more cherished memories of days past, the prices are definitely right at Beverly Towne, demonstrating to all that eating healthy and organically doesn’t have to be a modern corporate adventure into high-priced incredulity.
Transport yourself back to turn-of-the-20th-century times with different weekly events that can range from live music, clowns, face painters, balloon animals, and colouring contests for the kids, to special events like carriage rides through the historic town of Beverly and the harvest market. For olde-time fun no matter the age, get ye to the Beverly Towne Farmers’ Market!
