A Family Friendly Pool
The Borden Park Pool has been entertaining families for many years. It was built in 1925 and has all of the amenities that one would expect from a city-run facility. There are five swimming lanes as well as a diving board and two slides. There is also a deck space available for sun tanning as well as a concession for hungry and thirsty swimmers. The pool is located in Borden Park, near the Agricom. It is nestled in an area that is also very residential, which greatly appeals to the lucky residents in that area of the city.

A Historic Public Place
There is much more to Borden Park that just the swimming pool. It’s a great place to have an entire day of fun. There are picnic sites available for use outside of the pool, and from May to October, people are welcome to come to the park and make use of these facilities. Throw a football around with some pals as you play a few friendly games, or simply enjoy the peaceful setting. There are no pets allowed in the park, however, so be sure to leave your animals at home.

Plan Ahead During Busy Seasons
Because city events such as Capital Ex draw such a large amount of people to the area, it’s recommended that those wishing to use picnic or sports area facilities at the park book ahead. Likewise, parking can be difficult to find during such events, so public transportation may be preferable. Make yourself aware of possible additional fees, as well, such as necessary vehicle access or picnic sites that have power.
