Bowling Fun Centre in Sherwood Park has been a fixture in the community for about four decades. Now in its second location on 975 Fir Street, Bowling Fun Centre offers 16 lanes of the uniquely Canadian five-pin game. Extensive renovation over the past few years has given Bowling Fun Centres a clean, modern look, with computerized scoring taking the drudge work out of the game so you can concentrate on just having fun.
Outside the lanes
Bowling Fun Centres has all the usual amenities-snack bar, arcade games, pool tables, and a lounge. At present, there are still areas in the centre where you can smoke and bowl.
You pay by the game at Bowling Fun Centre-$3.25 for adults, $3 for kids, with shoes renting for $1.25.
The centre usually opens seven-days-a-week at 10 a.m., closing at 11 p.m. weekdays, and midnight weekends. Group rates and party rates available; phone 464-2100.
