There’s no denying that the best thing about Burger King will probably always be the classics: fire grilled burgers like the Angus burger, chicken and fish burgers and great breakfasts. First served in 1954, at the first Burger King, the Whopper sandwich has always been a favourite. The Burger King single or multiple patty hamburgers are flame-broiled and served with tomatoes, lettuce and pickles. Cheese and bacon options are available. Their drive-thru window is open late and they still manage to get up to serve breakfast until 10:30a.m. You can get the enormous omelette sandwich, an English muffin, hash browns and French toast.
Lean and Green
Over the years, Burger King’s menu has extended to the health conscious among us. Those intent on getting their recommended four to five servings of veggies per day can indulge in the “lean and green” section of the menu. Instead of just giving you a wilted salad short on protein, the BK tender grill garden salad will satisfy – it comes with hearty chunks of chicken, lettuce, tomatoes, carrots and three cheeses. And for those who’d rather forgo meat altogether, there’s the Burger King Veggie Burger made from soy.
Kid Friendly
Kids have their very own menu at this burger place where they can choose tasty morsels like the crown-shaped chicken tenders. Many Burger Kings feature a playground where kids can release some of that never-ending energy. The Burger King/ McLamore Foundation caters to older kids by awarding scholarships to hardworking youth for post secondary studies. The foundation’s aim is to help those young adults who exemplify strength, hard work, determination and a will to succeed.
