From Scratch
Chianti proudly refers to itself as a “from scratch” restaurant, meaning all of their dishes are made fresh to order. A plethora of gourmet pasta dishes litter the menu – spaghetti bolognese ( with freshly simmered meat sauce), linguini ala marinara (prepared with baby shrimps and baby clams in a tomato sauce), fettuccini du chef (prepared with spinach noodles, smoked salmon, mushrooms, cream and pesto), to name a few. There’s also great seafood, veal and chicken dishes to choose from all accompanied by a side of fresh pasta or potato and seasonal vegetables.
Take it Out
All of Chianti’s delicious dishes are available for take-out. Need to bring lunch back for the office? A special menu for larger groups (12 and over) provides you with a choice of two salads and three pastas. Or stop in and take advantage of the daily lunch and dinner specials, including Pasta Frenzy on Monday and Tuesdays with over 40 pastas to choose from.
Historical Roots
Situated in what used to be Edmonton’s first post office, this elegant building now finds itself in the middle of a bustling entertainment and theatre district, and home to an award winning Italian eatery. By design, the space in Chianti is dramatic, with vaulted ceilings and turn of the century details.
