Dance and Sing Your Heart Out
Join the Edmonton Children’s Dance Theatre for dance, drama, and voice classes created for children and adults of all ages. This Performing Arts School offers a variety of exceptional classes in different disciplines including dance arts such as jazz, ballet, and hip hop as well as in theatre arts such as acting and voice. The Dance Theatre also offers introductory classes for pre-school children who want to learn dance and music with or without mom and dad.
Beyond the Classroom
Edmonton Children’s Dance Theatre runs classes throughout the year, allowing students to stay active and involved. Students are encouraged to participate in numerous workshops, competitions, festivals, and auditions in and around the city, especially if they are interested in pursuing theatre and dance arts further. The school offers field trips to local and touring performance groups and holds movie days to keep students up-to-date with different styles of dance and theatre.
Experienced Faculty
Each class offered by the Dance Theatre is taught by highly qualified and experienced instructors. The diverse faculty comes with backgrounds in education, early childhood development, dance and choreography, plus vocal and musical theatre experience. Many of the instructors have been involved with dance, music, and theatre since they were children and have followed their passions to adulthood. Since Dance Theatre classes have a maximum of ten students with two staff per class, students can take advantage of their instructors’ knowledge and experience.
