Finally! The gap between the action and romance of fine Japanese dining and the expedience of North American fast food has, at long last, been bridged! At Edo you can get a good deal & a fun meal in a flash.
What You Get
Your meal of chicken, beef or seafood will be grilled right in front of you, mixed with greens and mushrooms and served with either rice or yakisoba noodles. The meal deals come with a drink and entrée, and you won’t have to save to buy here; all the food is very reasonably priced. Some, but not all, Edo locations are found in the food courts of Edmonton’s busy malls, and others have their own attractive addresses in the city’s hot tourist spots.
The Rest
There are a bunch of Edos in and around the area, and they all seem to offer an item or two away from the main menu. The one in SUB on the University of Alberta campus, for example, has got a pretty decent chicken curry going on. For the extra-hungry, ask for your meal to be Sumo-Sized. Also try the sushi for a lighter meal. For those whose food fair philosophy is to not be one of the herd, it's worth checking into.
