Festival Place is arguably the most distinctive building in the relatively subdued suburban landscape of Sherwood Park. The 500-seat theatre and performing arts space, with its high stage loft, dominates the skyline near the suburb's Civic Centre Arena along Sherwood Drive. It opened in May of 1994 and has been delighting and educating people ever since.

Flexibility is the key to Festival Place's appeal. A mix of entertainment is booked into the venue on a weekly basis. The Elizabethan-style theatre is used by local and touring theatre groups, and a wide variety of musical acts have also hit the stage, ranging from folk to blues to jazz. Dance troupes, both local and touring, have also taken over the venue. Festival Place often have stages special events like the Beer & Wine Festival or the Petro Canada Café intimate music venue.
Over 100 Courses Available
More than 1,000 students a year come to Festival Place to participate in 150 courses ranging from dance to magic. A wide range of meeting rooms are also available for special functions, including weddings and receptions.
