The Globe Tap Bar and Grill has two different scenes, depending on when you drop by. During the week, it is mainly focused on the bar and grill side of its name, offering up a hefty assortment of beers from its taps, along with an impressive fridge full of international quaffs. It also serves up a menu of diverse pub grub, and draws in weeknight crowds with food specials, like Wednesday wings, and Newfie Tuesdays, when fish and chips are the featured nosh.

Things change on Friday and Saturday nights, when the Tap Bar and Grill morphs into a 390-person capacity nightclub. The two level club then becomes a seen and be seen kind of place: the top level looks down onto the dance floor, and there’s a catwalk where hipsters can show off their best moves. Each level also has its own patio, for people who want to take an al fresco breather before heading back to the dance floor. The music is a mix of top 40 and party music classics, backed up by an extensive video collection of current and classic favorites.
