The Hotel that Became a Hostel
Turn ‘hotel’ into ‘hostel’? While that can’t happen in Scrabble, it happened in real life. In July 2006, the former Mayfair Hotel, on Jasper Avenue, reopened as the GO Backpacker Hostel. Now accepting reservations, GO Backpacker Hostel does not require membership. There is, however, a maximum two week stay limit. So, if you’re looking for a comfortable and affordable place to stay, this hostel is good to GO!

Facilities and Amenities
While not every room has a kitchenette, there is a common full kitchen for guests to use. On-site laundry facilities are also available. Hostellers can hang out in the common room, surf the internet or shoot a relaxing game of pool. If you have any questions or are just seeking advice, GO Backpacker has a reception desk that is open 24 hours a day.

Yay! Bunk Beds!
GO Backpacker is open all year round and has around 184 beds available. All rooms have bathrooms and some rooms even have kitchenettes. Dorms have four to eight beds per room. Dorm prices start at around $22, while a private room starts at approximately $70. At GO Backpacker there is no curfew and no lockout.

Convenient Central Location
Surrounding the GO Backpacker Hostel is a quaint slice of vibrant nightlife hotspots and much-needed amenities for the hosteller. Restaurants, nightclubs, coffee shops and handy stores are all within walking distance. Access to public transportation is available right on Jasper Avenue.
