Notorious for its spicy chicken wings and a slew of more double entendres than you can shake a poultry bone at, Hooters has raised many an eyebrow ever since it opened in West Edmonton Mall's Bourbon Street section. Here, a largely male clientele find the scenery about as attractive as the fast food-oriented menus and jugs of beer, served by a staff that would make Gloria Steinem squirm. Waitresses decked out more as if they were prepping for phys-ed class than doing the table rounds offer service with a smile and the odd blond joke.

Lest you think the joint doubles as an oglefest, Hooters also offers four big-screen TVs, so patrons can catch every big-league game televised or follow their favourite sweaty gladiators on WWF nights.
