The Whyte Avenue strip is a lot like many of the other trendy avenues across Canada; it’s filled with a myriad of dance bars that turn the music past the breaking point or a lot of pubs that brim with British charm. Hudsons, which has already enjoyed success on Edmonton’s south side, brings a fresh approach to the Avenue, with a pub dedicated to all things Canadian, not British. Instead of bangers and mash, you’ll find a pub menu filled with some uniquely Canadian items, including Mama Hudsons meatloaf.

Wood finish
The new Strathcona location is filled with wood accents; there are open spaces that are great for people watching or some enclosed nooks if you’d prefer quiet conversation. There’s also a full patio, where Edmontonians can enjoy those few-and-far-between great summer days with a pint and some grub. Yes, it’s a mature alternative to the Whyte environment.
