Anemone Ruder
Anemone is an expert in Middle Eastern culture and dance. She has travelled to Egypt and Turkey to gain this knowledge first hand, and has brought it to Alberta. In the past, she has travelled throughout Western Canada to perform in restaurants and for functions like weddings, fundraiser, and conventions. She has even danced at the First Night's festival, Street Performers festival and Heritage days. Now you can learn the art of Middle Eastern dance in one of her many classes. She offers four levels of instruction depending on your expertise and she also has a costume boutique so you can truly get into the spirit of the dance. Twice a year teachers and students come together and perform. This gives the students to show what they’ve learned and be a part of a professional production.

You won’t find Santa Clause or Easter Bunny suits here. Only beautiful and authentic Middle Eastern dance costumes and accessories. In her costume boutique you’ll find professional dance costumes, imports from Egypt and Turkey, Middle Eastern CD’s, videos, cassette tapes, finger cymbals, swords, hip scarves, coin belts and more. Anemone also has her very own two-hour instructional video for you to take home and practice with. She also does costume design and alteration.
