Profile Last Updated: December 20, 2008
Tucked into a west end neighborhood, the Jasper Place Bowl is the home of future champions. The Jasper Place School Rebels won bragging rights as the best high school football team in the province in 1999. As a powerhouse in the Edmonton high school leagues, the Rebels made the Jasper Place Bowl a tough place to visit, and an even tougher place to get a win.
Extra Point
But the Rebels aren't the only team using the bowl as home turf. Both the Edmonton Wildcats and Edmonton Huskies of the Prairie Football Conference claim the bowl as home field advantage. Visiting junior football teams like the Calgary Colts and Saskatoon Hilltops are becoming familiar with the west end sod as they tangle with the Huskies and Wildcats, as well.
Call Ahead
All City of Edmonton sportsfields are open to user's discretion, with the exception of the artificial turf surfaces at Foote and Clarke. They are available for rent but users are asked to cancel scheduled events if the field is too wet, slippery and unsafe, or use of activities will cause damage to the field. You can call ahead to book Jasper Place Bowl and find out the current field conditions.
