The Buzz
Petcetera stores are usually huge, and always swathed in their signature colours of blue, red and yellow. They carry everything you need for your pet - and then some! Half of the store is set up like a warehouse, stuffed with different brands of food for your pet. There is a large area dedicated to fish (and other underwater life), and all the accoutrements are available here, too, such as aquariums, water plants and little pieces of coral for your fish to hide in. Of course, there are tiny little castles and plastic divers, too, to create your own underwater society. Tropical birds, hamsters, gerbils and ferrets are also among the menagerie that makes up Petcetera.
The Goods
Of course, the bulk of Petcetera’s business is centred around the long-time household favourites of cats and dogs. There are adorable puppies and kittens from reputable breeders sleeping and playing around the store – and all with their first sets of shots. Petcetera only brings in breeds that are gentle, sweet, and kid-friendly. The rest of the huge store is filled with shelves of supplies, toys, carriers, and anything else you (or Fifi or Fido) may need. They also stock odor removers and cleaning products.

Petcetera gives back. The Petcetera Animal Welfare Society is a foundation designed to reduce pet over-population and pet euthanasia, and to promote responsible pet ownership. Petcetera makes arrangements with local animal shelters, allowing their customers to adopt through Petcetera, while all the proceeds are given directly to the shelter to continue the cycle of assisting animals. Petcetera is truly a company that cares.
