A Mid-City Haven
Instead of heading far from home for a weekend camping trip, Edmontonians have the luxury of camping right in the comfort of their own city. Rainbow Valley is a well-kept, forested, quiet haven right in the middle of Edmonton. Located in the picturesque river valley, the campground is connected to several nature trails that will lead you to some of the city’s most beautiful parks.
A Traveller’s Home Base
For those travelling from outside of the city limits, the campground is also a fantastic option because of its proximity to so many of Edmonton’s attractions. West Edmonton Mall is a short 15-minute drive from the campground, and the city’s downtown area with attractions like the Muttart Conservatory is very close.
Nature’s Comforts
The Rainbow Valley Campground is beautiful with all of the trees, and wildlife you expect to enjoy on a camping vacation. For those that can’t be without the comforts of home, Rainbow Valley will not disappoint. Clean washrooms, hot showers, power hook-ups, and cooking shelters with wood burning stoves will help you feel as comfortable as possible in your new open-air temporary home. After cooking your meal on the open flame, you can play a friendly game of horseshoes or let the kids go wild on the playground. Rainbow Valley Campground houses 33 power sites and 52 natural sites.
