Shoppers Drug Mart is Canada’s most well-known and reliable drug store. What began as a small pharmacy in Toronto has now grown into an organization of more than 800 stores from coast to coast. But despite their immense size, the chain has not forgotten what matters most: The customer. Consumers are constantly amazed at the selection in these get-all-you-need-and-more stores. Obviously, they have a vast supply of pharmaceuticals and medical supplies, complemented by an in-house staff of trained pharmacists, but at several locations you can send packages from their Canada Post kiosk, shop around for your groceries, pick up some seasonal decorations and browse through the beauty supplies. And as added incentive, should an overnight emergency occur, some locations are open 24 hours.
Several use Shoppers as a drop-in shop to get their new prescription filled, or to have their old ones refilled by their certified pharmacists that are knowledgeable, resourceful and informative. They will assist you with any query or worry you may have concerning your prescription/medicine. And can also be called on for general health information.
Shelves are stocked with a little bit of everything. Read the headers above the aisles to navigate your way through the sections of health and beauty, oral hygiene, foot care, headaches and muscle pains, hair care and skin care, vitamins and supplements, men’s products, woman’s products, snacks and groceries. At the checkout, they have a great selection of magazines, books and even movies.
For the Customer
Shoppers is also very senior-conscious, offering regular discounts and deals. Some branches even hold monthly bingos. And if you are a regular shopper, be sure to join their Optimum Club, which allows you to rack up points that will give you discounts, VIP perks and other rewards.
