This family owned and operated restaurant has fantastic food at moderate prices. If you’re looking for true Thai cuisine, the Thai Valley Grill is the place to go. They make their own roasted crushed peppers, chilli oils and the restaurant is closed Sundays so the kitchen staff can make all of their own condiments for the week. Regulars can’t get enough of the Valley Grill’s pad Thai and welcome anyone brave enough to order any of their dishes “Thai hot.”
Splendid Creations
The Thai Valley Grill menu starts with a handy table of contents that takes you through all the items and as you turn the pages, you get more detailed descriptions of the mouth watering food. The combinations are creative, like the pandulus chicken appetizer (marinated chicken wrapped in banana and pandulus leaves with cucumber salad). Soups at the Thai Valley are exceptional, including a must try Tam Kha Kai, with chicken mushrooms and asparagus in a thick, spicy, coconut broth.
Ample Entrées
What appear to be main entrées – chicken, pork, seafood and vegetarian – are better described as platters to be shared. Lemongrass chicken is a popular selection, but if you’re not in the mood for meat, the Pad Ra Ma Long Song (fried bean curd in a spicy peanut sauce on top of a bed of spinach) is an example of a lighter, yet delicious choice.
