The Valley Zoo is Northern Alberta's only accredited zoological institution, and operates year round. With more than 350 exotic, endangered and native species, the Valley Zoo was voted "Best Affordable Family Attraction" in a local newspaper poll.
The Activities
There are plenty of hands-on activities for all ages; paddle boats, merry-go-round and pony rides. The Little Children's Zoo features a miniature train ride. Located next to Laurier Park in the west end of Edmonton, it is only 10 minutes from West Edmonton Mall.
