Signature shrimp
Every good restaurant has its signature dish, and at Wild Tangerine, there is no question that must-have item is on the appetizer menu. Pretty well everyone who walks into the restaurant and is greeted by the ultra-modern decor, coloured glasses and napkins and mosaic tile designs on the walls opts for the lollipop shrimp. It consists of shrimp on a skewer surrounded by crusted noodles and served with a yogurt sauce spiced with wasabi. It’s messy fun, and indicative of the fresh thinking behind the restaurant’s new Asian menu.

From noodle and curry dishes to pork, beef and seafood meals, fusion is the name of the game at Wild Tangerine. Even an item as basic as Caesar salad is spiced up with walnuts and spring rolls. Attention to detail is important here, from the Feng Shui stones you’ll find in the washroom sinks to the wine bottles that do double duty as water decanters.
