Bright and Inviting
The Woodcroft branch looks recently renovated, with an inviting rounded wall of windows facing the street and lots of cheery lighting. It’s very close to Westmount Mall, which makes it a convenient stop on the way to or from shopping. The grand Roman style pillar columns demarking the front desk, low counters, and the white and light and bright color create a clean, relaxing ambiance. The children’s area is almost completely circular, ringed with windows and cozy bench seats. A spectacular huge fish tank divider attracts the attention of all who walk by. On one side of the library, tucked into an alcove lot by a huge circular window high above, are computer workstations interspersed with small tables, and racks of CDs, DVDs and videos. It’s a very cozy and inviting space. The Woodcroft branch has over 10 computer stations available for public use. There’s also a sitting area that feels like a living room, and a large program room that’s perfect for meetings, classes or children’s activities. Self Check stations offer library customers added convenience.

Free Internet Access
The library is one of the few places where any member of the general public can get free computer and internet access, and very reasonably priced access to printing services. The Mill Woods Branch has more than 20 computers providing free Internet Access, even for those that don’t have a public library card (they will be issued a temporary card for internet access purposes). It’s easy to book one of the computers in advance using the online computer reservation system so you can maximize your time while shopping, and know you’ll get a chance to use the computer when you arrive.

Lots to Do
From book clubs, English conversation circles and naptimes for babies, there are a lot of different programs to choose from. Check the Edmonton Public Library website for upcoming library events and programs happening at the Woodcroft branch, and elsewhere in the system.
