Profile Last Updated: September 22, 2008
John Yardley Jones has been putting pen, pencil and paint on paper for decades. The effervescent Welshman, known around Edmonton just as “Yardley,” was an editorial cartoonist for several decades, and won a National Newspaper Award in 1971 for his timely drawings. His unique caricature style has been featured in a number of murals and decorative features around Edmonton, and his art also adorns many event posters and commemorative works.
